A MESSAGE FROM REBECCA

Hi Everyone from sunny Los Angeles!

I am very encouraged by a lot of the things that are going on right now! I would love to have your prayers as I continue on this creative ministry journal.

I just have to say I love the opportunity we’ve had of late to get to partner with Crisis Pregnancy ministries all over the nation. I’m blown away by the incredible compassion and love that these centers show to the broken-hearted involved in unplanned pregnancy, and to the unborn babies that can’t fight for their own lives. These ministries are on the very frontlines—too often in seemingly thankless situations—but they are doing exactly what Jesus asked us to do in showing unconditional love.

Most of these appearance I am doing involve a concert as well as showing parts—and sometimes—all of “Sarah’s Choice”—and the response has been both beautiful and very encouraging.

This week, I am working on a new movie—“Frontier Boys.” My sister, Libby will be with me onset for the filming in Michigan. I’m really excited to be acting again! I played a legal commentator in a film about a month ago called “Suing The Devil,” and I really enjoyed that project. It’s been very encouraging to see door to films such as these with faith and values messages continue to open!

Also just began a new book on dating, with the working title, “What Is He Thinking?” I am going to be interviewing guys about the subjects of love, dating and romance. I am very excited about this book and would love your prayers for wisdom as I do the research and hold interviews with Christian guys whose views I respect.

Personally, I feel that God is doing some very encouraging things in my life! I feel that the biggest lesson He has been teaching me lately is this: In anything good—in anything truly good—sacrifice is involved. When you think about the analogy of a woman in labor, or the creation of any great piece of art, or in the day to day calling of raising children in today’s world –there are sacrifices involved in any truly great calling.

When you realize that sacrifice is part of any great mission for God, it brings joy to that sacrifice. I’ve been very encouraged that God is reminding me of that. There is joy in picking up our cross and following Jesus

I want to encourage you to keep loving and serving Jesus!

FYI—did you know Rebecca’s first acting role in a major film was a small role in “Left Behind,” which starred Kirk Cameron?

REBECCA'S MAILBOX

Dear Rebecca,

Today, The book "Wait for Me" ended up in my hands through my sister (i don't know how) After I picked up the book, I didn't drop it until I finished it. I even canceled all my plans and just sat and a read the book. Truth is, I have been fighting with myself the past few days (well the last whole year) And after having an amazing prayer at my youth service yesterday, and with your book today, GOD ANSWERED a lot of the deepest things that I had in my heart and have been praying about! It opened up my heart, and I truly had a conversation with Jesus today, like you had said in your book.

The thing is, I really wished is that I could have had this book a little earlier, when I went through my first and hardest break up a year ago. I went through everything from crazy emotion break-outs to hatred toward my ex, broken heart, and now, just NOW forgiveness and hopefully a new beginning. Thank God for opening up to me through the encouragement from your book, and because God speaks through you! I hope you realize that.

I thank God for people like you!! May you be blessed in a million ways!! And I really wish there was more people like that! I can't express in words how much this book did for me! I will treasure it and when I need encouragement Ill know where to look. I will pray that this book goes around, that way someone else can experience what i have, and they can share with their friends, and friends can share with others and on.

My name is Briana and I am originally from Austin, Tx. When I was about 16 you came to San Antonio for a concert at a Baptist Church with LaRue. I had never felt such happiness and joy into my heart as you all sang. I remember the importance you declared on waiting to have sex until your married. Wait for me is one of my favorite songs and I believe the Lord will bring someone into your life who will wait for you. I am praying for the same. I am currently serving in the U.S. Air force and have returned home from my second deployment. I thank you for your wonderful music, as you touch many lives all around the world. My name is Sarah and I am a college student in NC. I have been reading your book 'Pure" for the past month or so and it has really made an impact on my life. God is working in my life through this book and I just wanted to say thank you. Just tonight, on day 37 the title is "Pure as Snow," and what do you know, it is snowing outside as I read it!
